D-MATL Members elected SATW Member

Prof. Nicholas Spencer has been elected to the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW), from 1st January 2012, in recognition of "his extraordinary achievements in the field of surface science and his successes in the realisation of the newest developments in surface technology".

Prof. A. Dieter Schlüter has been elected to the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW), from 1st January 2012, in recognition of "his extraordinary achievements in the synthesis of novel macromolecular systems and his contributions to build bridges between science and practice".

In the Academy they are joining D-MATL colleague Prof. Ludwig Gauckler as well as Prof. Ueli Suter, who is currently the President of the Academy. Congratulations!
