Masing Prize for Prof. J.F. Löffler
At the annual meeting of the German Society for Materials selected persons are honored for their outstanding achievements in the area of materials science. Jörg F. Löffler is the recipient of the Masing Memorial Prize 2004, to be presented in May 2005.
The Masing Memorial Prize is awarded by the German Society for Materials for independent research work in the field of materials. This prize — which includes a payment of EUR 1,500.00 — celebrates the best achievement in a metals-related area published in the two years previous to the prize date by scientists of age 38 or younger. The work must not have formed the basis of a Ph.D. thesis.
Prof. Jörg F. Löffler receives this award for his outstanding scientific work during this period (Centrifugal processing of metallic liquids).
