Hans Eggenberger Prize 2015 for PhD Reto Pfenninger

Reto Pfenninger, currently working at his PhD in Prof. Jennifer Rupp's group Electrochemical Materials, was awarded the Hans Eggenberger Prize 2015.

Reto Pfenninger won the prize for his master thesis "Strained Metal Oxide Heterostructures for Resistive Switching Microdevices". The price is normally awarded to electrical or mechanical engineers. This is now the first time that it was awarded to a materials scientist.

The external pageHans Eggenberger Prize (German) is usually awarded annually to outstanding young scientists in recognition of an outstanding bachelor, master or doctoral thesis. The aim is the promotion of young scientists, preferably but not exclusively in the field of interdisciplinary application of electronics and / or electrical power engineering. The prize consist of the prize money of CHF 10'000.
